Lapp's engineering components are produced under a DIN ISO 9001:2008  certified quality management and DIN ISO14001:2004 environmental system. In all facilities and at all manufacturing stages processes are monitored and continuously improved. By combining a set of process-specific methods, we have created an all- inclusive system which starts with the inspection of incoming feedstock and extends throughout the production chain.

Innovations are steadily developed by Lapp's experts and engineers. The R&D department including the high voltage laboratory as well as the chemical / physical laboratory are tightly networked with the sciences for several decades. Certain famous German science institutes and universities belong to that network. Through emerging synergy effects expertise can be concentrated and quality standards designed.

The highly qualified engineers regularly compile science studies which ensure continuous improvements. Those reports for instance are published at the International Council on Large Electric Systems (CIGRE). Results of those studies are being responsive to certain IEC-standards and appoint consequently the standards for all insulator manufactures.
