In April 2011 LAPP Insulators GmbH (Wunsiedel, Germany) has received Russian GOST-R standard certification for all kinds of suspension line and post composite insulators as well as porcelain post insulators. Certificates are available for download.

Lapp Insulators presented during the last International Simposium on High Voltage Engineering in South Africa (ISH2009) the publication titled "HTV silicone composite insulators for HVDC applications Longterm experiences with material and design for 500kV and above". The paper illustrates different projects of OHTL operating under DC realized over the last 25 years. Lapp Insulators family festival from the 27th of June 2009 in Wunsiedel was an outstanding success. We would like to thank everybody involved in organising that event especially Mr. Thomas Merkel – head of work council in Wunsiedel. Lapp Insulators family festival takes place every second year. For the first time colleagues from other Lapp sites enjoyed the friendly atmosphere as well as the different attractions, like for example carousels, a go-kart area and the catering.
